Did you get engaged over the holidays? Well, first off we would like to congratulate you because we can’t think of a more romantic time for a proposal. Next, while we know that you most likely just want to bask in the engagement jitters, we also know that it’s never too early to start planning your 2019 wedding! So we decided we would give you a little advice on how to save time money, and stress.
When you begin looking for venues at which to hold your wedding, a smart thing to do is to look for venues where you can hold both the ceremony and the reception, instead of one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Not only does this save money (since a lot of places offer deals in this respect), but it also saves time so that you can ultimately visit more venues and really be confident in your choice. Also, it saves the hassle of making sure two different venues are available at the same time, which can be a bit rough when it comes to wedding season.
It’s a good idea now to start realizing that your wedding day will be just as special no matter what day it is on, as long as your sharing it with the person (and people) you love. Being flexible on the date and size of your wedding can make the whole process seem a lot less daunting and much easier to manage. If you start to be too specific in all of the fine details, it may end up creating more stress and chaos, whereas if you maintain a little flexibility it will all flow much more easily.
Lastly, we want to recommend that you look for places with more than one venue on the premises. This expands your options without having to visit more venues, and this way you can choose between one end of the venue spectrum and the other. You can go from rustic and shabby-chic to elegant and classic all in one visit. Oh one last thing- this is an extremely exciting, important, and (at times) stressful time in your life- don’t forget to breathe! You’re getting married!
